Mitsubishi Printer repair, Mitsubishi Printer servicing

Free Advice on the phone or via email

Hello my name is Gary, I am based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. England.  I have worked for Mitsubishi for over 18 years. For the last 10 years, I have specialised on photo systems. I have probably spoken to you during that time, while answering the Mitsubishi technical support line, and if your unit has been sent into Mitsubishi Hatfield, I probably repaired it!  I have decided to set up my own business repairing photo systems.

If you are experiencing any problems with your Mitsubishi photo system, you can contact me on 07565 440510 or effy.39@ntlworld.com.  Initially, I am happy to give you advice on the phone, free of charge, to see if we can resolve your problem.  If, between us, we cannot resolve the issue, and If the product is out of the manufacturer's warranty, I can give you an estimate  to repair the unit.

As I progress with this website there will be helpful hints on maintenance and how to get the best from your equipment.

TOP TIP. When transporting these printers, always close the door with the power applied.  The head assembly will then be able to wind down and lock into the door. The same apples to the CP9800 range.

TOP TIP. In the event of the ink sheet tearing check the thermal head for debris. Run your finger along the guide bar just behind the head, if you can feel grit clean it using IPA solvent and a lint free cloth. The same applies to all photo printers.

TOP TIP. Always empty the trims from scrap box before transporting the printer as offcuts can find their way into the cutter assembly.

Make sure you do not damage the lug on the right hand side of the scrap box. If you do the printer will show an error LED.

TOP TIP. In the event of the ink sheet tearing DO NOT remove any of the ink sheet from the spools - Just rejoin it.  Also make sure that inner diameter of  the paper roll is not oval (squashed).

TOP TIP. In the event of  horizontal lines (left to right as paper comes out of printer) try cleaning the metal paper grip roller with a hard bristle brush and compressed air. Debris can contaminate the knurled sections of this metal roller. To gain access, just remove the roll of paper.

TOP TIP.  Always keep your recovery cd and keyboard to hand. The recovery CD enables you to create you own back up of the Windows and Click partitions of the hard drive. So in the event of software corruption you can insert the recovey CD, reboot the click and choose 'Total Recovery' as one of the options. CURRENT DATA WILL BE LOST i.e. your photos.

Click Lite (PT6000EH)

TOP TIP. As with the IT5000, always keep you recovery disc and keyboard to hand.
